About Norris Lake Houseboat Rentals

Our story

Norris Lake Houseboat Rentals was co-founded in 2004 by Bryan Courtney and Ryan Taylor. Their goal was to offer modern houseboats in a typically outdated rental market — with amenities rarely seen on rental houseboats. The inaugural 2005 season was a huge success and we've spent every season since pushing what a luxury houseboat experience on Norris Lake can be.

We charter from Shanghai Resort Marina, the most central full-service marina on the lake. Restaurant, ship store, fuel, slips, lodging — everything you need is steps from the dock.
